hope

A stranger shared a quote with me today.  It comes to mind tonight as I watch an insanely romantic and gently erotic movie.  The hope that springs to mind is that when you return that all I’ve felt while you’ve been away — the passion — will remain when you return.  But foremost I simply hope that you return home safe.  Until tomorrow …

“Hope is the thing with feathers that perches on the soul.  And sings the tune without the words, and never stops at all.” — Emily Dickenson
